"Celui-ci s’est non seulement montré très ouvert et souple concernant notre 'timing' très serré, mais il a de plus apporté avec ses corrections une amélioration importante à notre texte."
ELCS begins 2021 working in the fields of personnel regulations, climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals, international migration trends, econometrics, personnel, banking and finance, cryptocurrencies, research and applied technology, and nature conservation, and is continuing its development of writing-skills seminars in collaboration with the Swiss supplier of a software solutions platform for the higher education sector. A selection of these seminars will shortly enter an initial testing phase.
Also coming in 2021—copyediting directly in LaTeX.
ELCS has worked extensively with a range of Swiss National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCRs), centres of excellence, research and technology organizations, knowledge and technology transfer centres, Federal offices, and academic institutions.
From 2010 to the summer of 2019, ELCS worked regularly with CSEM, a leading Swiss research and technology organization. From 2013 to 2019, ELCS developed a similar close relationship with the Swiss Finance Institute, the Swiss centre of excellence in banking and Finance. And ELCS continues to work closely with the Idiap Research Institute in Martigny. ELCS has also delivered writing-skills seminars for UZH and works extensively with the university, and with a number of universities and private schools in and outside Switzerland.
Where possible, ELCS supports projects with a particular societal value by offering advantageous tariffs, and since early 2016 has provided copyediting and correction services on a voluntary basis to Italy's BirdLife International partner, LIPU (via the organization's UK funding arm, LIPU-UK). That offer has also been extended to other projects involved in the preservation of our precious fauna, and particularly our avifauna.
Finally, I regularly coach Swiss students studying in English for higher qualifications at universities in Switzerland and abroad.
